Expressing deep respect to the prominent film actress and heroic freedom fighter Sarah Begum Kabori the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Dr Hasan Mahmud says she has enriched our country's film industry.
The memorial service was held at yesterday (May 25) noon at the Round Table Auditorium of the National Press Club.
The Central Committee of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance organized the memorial meeting. The late Kabori was the president and one of the founding members of this alliance.
The Information Minister, who was the chief guest at the commemoration, said, " the legendary actress of Bengali films Suchitra Sen, has left acting for a long time and there is no one like her, I doubt we will get someone like Kabori”.
Kabori has not only enriched the country's film industry for five decades but has also shown skill in politics. We used get excited to see her acting performance, said Hasan Mahmud.

It was presided over by Rafiqul Alam, senior vice-president of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance Central Committee and vocalist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.
Along with Dr Hasan Mahmud, State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan MP, Awami League Publication and Publicity Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, former South City Awami League General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad, Advocate Balaram Podder and other national leaders and eminent personalities of the cultural arena, was there to appreciate Kabori's unique contribution to the films.
