Justice Md. Ashfaqul Islam has been appointed as the chamber judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
According to a notice issued by the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mohammad Saifur Rahman, on Saturday.
The notice states that Justice M Enayetur Rahim, will be on leave until July 14.
During this period, Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam will serve as the daily chamber court judge to handle urgent matters related to the Appellate Division cases.
Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam will preside over the Chamber Court every Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday at 2:30 pm to conduct hearings as required.
The appointment has been made in the interest of public service, as mentioned in the notification.
