The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Sunday inaugurated the activities and Engagement of Juristic Clinic amid providing legal aid and juridical assistance among the general people. IU vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the activities of the clinic as the chief guest in a function held at the conference room of administrative building on the campus around. 11:00 am. Pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha attended here as the special guests with the clinic director Prof Dr M Jahurul Islam of Law department in the chair.
More than hundred teachers and students of the department were participated on the occasion. Juristic Clinic is a Law assistance center. It will provide consultancy without any cost among all classes of people in our society, who faced many problem in the sector of law by connecting with Legal Aid Institutions of the country and it would ensure constitutional rights of the common people. The project will also work for spreading law education by several internship programme for law students in higher education levels, authority added.
