JU invites application for MSc prog in applied physics

Jahangirnagar University (JU) is now accepting applications for the MSc Weekend Program in Applied Physics and Electronics for the fall semester of 2024. This program is offered by the Department of Physics, and classes will be held on weekends, making it suitable for professionals and students looking to further their education alongside work.

To apply, candidates need a 4-year or 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in subjects like Physics, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geological Science, Environmental Science, or any related field. A minimum CGPA of 2.5 is required for those with BSc Honors and BSc Pass degrees, while a CGPA of 3 is needed for HSC and SSC results.

The application process is simple. Applicants need to download the form from the official website and complete the submission online. This convenient online process allows applicants to apply from anywhere without visiting the campus.

Key dates for the admission process include the application deadline on 5 September 2024. The admission test will be held on 6 September 2024, which is a Friday, starting at 10 AM. Those who pass the test can complete their admission between 7 to 13 September 2024. Classes are scheduled to begin on 20 September 2024.
