The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Planning Ministry today recommended taking steps for providing updated information to the ministries for supporting them in taking projects and fixing the budget amount.
The committee also suggested the ministry to approve projects after properly verification of the no-objection-certificate (NOC), rules of business and allocation of business.
The recommendations were made from the committee's 17th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Abul Kalam Azad in the chair, said a press release.
The parliamentary body also suggested presenting the detailed procurement process of the foreign software used in Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) in the next meeting.
Committee members Planning Minister MA Mannan, Major (retd) Rafiqul Islam Bir Uttam, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, Biren Sikder and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza attended the meeting.
