Dhaka’s movie ‘Jolghori’ (Story Never Dies) was the best action thriller at the Jharkhand Film Festival 2020 in India.
It is an independent film by Asad Zaman.
More than one thousand movies from 40 countries of the world have participated in this competition in different categories. The winners were announced online on October 11 at 9 pm. Due to the global outbreak of corona, the Jharkhand Film Festival authorities were forced to organize this event online.
Earlier, ‘Jolghori’ was selected as an official selection at the Fioresa Serra Film Festival in Italy, Montegomari Film Festival in the United States, Lift Off in England, B-Bop Content Festival in New York and Dhaka International Film Festival.
Under Asad Zaman’s story, screenplay, dialogue and direction in ‘Jolghori’ various characters were played by Dipanwita Martin, Hasnat Ripon, Shajahan Sourov, Ivan Sair, Jayita Mahlanbish, Rimon Sarkar, Selim Ahmed, Humayun Samrat, Iqtarul Islam, Shoaib Monir, Nur Islam , Swapon Ahmed, Nusrat Jahan Khan Nipa, Rusho Sheikh and many more.
Asad Zaman from Jharkhand was overwhelmed by the award. He said, “No more waiting. I want to show the picture to everyone this time. With that in mind, I decided to release it on Tree Films’ YouTube channel on December 24. But before that, I want to send the film to some other notable festivals in the world.”
