Chargé d'Affaires of Italian Embassy in Bangladesh Dr. Mattia Ventura has said that there are many job opportunities for Bangladeshis in various professions including shipbreaking in Italy. The Italian government and various communities are interested in investing in Bangladesh for the development of bilateral relations between Italy and Bangladesh.
Dr. Mattia Ventura made said these during a meeting with Chairman of Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) M Zahirul Alam Dubash on Thursday (July 13, 2023).
During the meeting, Dr Mattia Ventura praised various initiatives of the current government to create an investment friendly environment in Bangladesh. He also praised the efficiency and constructive activities of the Bangladeshi migrants based in Italy.
CDA Chairman M Zahirul Alam Dubash said that CDA has taken various activities including land use clearance, building construction approval, special project clearance, use certificate approval in a short time with the aim of easy investment expansion in the areas controlled by the Chattogram Development Authority. He highlighted various development activities of CDA.
CDA board members Jaseem Uddin Shah, Mohammad Farooq, Engineer Munir Uddin Ahmad, Zeenat Sohana Chowdhury, CDA Secretary Mohammad Minhajur Rahman, CDA Chief Engineer Kazi Hasan Bin Shams, CDA Deputy Secretary Amal Guh, DCTP Abu Isa Ansari, Finance and Accounts Officer Mohammad Najer, System Analyst Md. Mostafa Jamal, Executive Engineers Md. Shamim and Rajib Das, Authorized Officer-2 Mohammad Elias, Engineer Kazi Kader Newaz and project managers of various projects and other officials were present.
Geographically Bangladesh is a country with development potential. As a result of the various important initiatives taken by the current government to create an investment-friendly environment, the Italian government is interested in being an investment environment and development partner.
