JnU to start online classes from August 18

Jagannath University (JnU) administration has decided to start classes online from August 18.

However, no decision has been made yet regarding when on-campus classes will resume.

The decision regarding examinations and offline classes will be made after a discussion with teachers and students.

The university’s Acting Registrar Prof Aynul Islam confirmed this on Thursday.

He further said, “We will discuss and decide whether there will be student politics. After talking to students, we will decide when the exams will be conducted.”

However, the students expressed dissatisfaction with this decision. Instead, they demand for physical classes.

They believe physical classes will help them to give a fresh start to their study.

Pranta Das Gupta, a JnU student, said, “Online classes will not help us to get a new start. We want physical classes.

We want to go to our campus to make it alive again.”
