Jagannath University (JnU) administration has decided to start classes but it will be conducted through online format. No decision has been made yet regarding when the classes will start in the university campus.
Online classes will start from August 18 and later the decision regarding exams and offline classes will be made after discussion with teachers and students.
The university acting Registrar Prof. Dr. Aynul Islam confirmed this news on Thursday.
He further said, “We will discuss and decide whether there will be student politics. And after talking to the students we will decide when the exams will be conducted.”
However, the students expressed dissatisfaction with this decision. Instead, they demand for physical classes. They believe physical classes will help them to give a fresh start to their study.
Pranta Das Gupta, a JnU student, said, “Online classes will not help us to get a new start. We want physical classes. We want to go to our campus to make it alive again.”
