Jagannath University (JnU) will independently conduct its admission tests for the 2024-25 academic year, starting from January 31, 2024, after leaving the Integrated Cluster Admission system. The admission test will consist of 100 marks, divided into three segments: 48 marks for written questions, 24 marks for multiple-choice questions, and 28 marks based on SSC and HSC exam results. Acting Registrar Professor Dr. Sheikh Gias Uddin Ahmed announced the details on Wednesday, outlining the university's new approach to admissions.

The test schedule for different units has been finalized. It will begin with Unit 'E' (Faculty of Fine Arts) on January 31. The other tests will take place as follows: February 14 for Unit 'D' (Faculty of Social Sciences), February 15 for Unit 'B' (Faculty of Arts), February 21 for Unit 'A' (Faculty of Science), and February 28 for Unit 'C' (Faculty of Business Studies).

Each faculty will have a unique syllabus tailored to its departments. For the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Business Studies, the exam will focus on the HSC syllabus relevant to the respective subjects. For the Faculty of Arts, the test will include questions on Bangla, English, and General Knowledge in both written and multiple-choice formats.

This decision marks JnU’s departure from the cluster system, aiming to conduct a more focused admission process that aligns with the university's academic standards. Applicants are advised to prepare according to their respective units and stay updated with further instructions on the university’s website.
