In the final round of the Inter-University Judo Competition 2024, student Akib Haider Emon of Jagannath University (JnU) defeated a competitor from Dhaka University to win the gold medal.
Additionally, two JNU students took home bronze in that competition, which was held on Wednesday at the Dhaka University Physical Education Center.
"I feel really lucky to be here and represent my university in this competition," Akib remarked. "I felt like my parent's prayer had been answered when I received that medal."
He expressed his gratitude to JNU VC Prof. Dr. Sadeka Halim for being supportive of him.
