Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University Dr. Sadeka Halim said all the teachers, students, officers and employees of Jagannath University will be brought under the health insurance.
The VC gave the assurance at the milad mahfil of Bangla Department late Professor Dr. Shilpi Khatun at the central auditorium of the university. Sadeka Halim said that health insurance has been introduced in Dhaka University not long ago. Not only teachers, officials, students are also under the insurance.
We will also cover everyone in Jagannath University. Health insurance is also very necessary for my students. Because they are in trouble. And if there is a major illness, the problem becomes acute.
Every day, students are sending applications seeking for help. We help as much as possible. But there is not much fund. So, health insurance is very necessary.
The Vice-Chancellor also said that the condition of food in the university cafeteria, hall canteen is very poor. These need to change. I will tell the teachers to pay close attention to our students. A beautiful environment is a must for students to study.
She also said the Jagannath University is always beside the family of Professor Shilpi Khanam.
At that time, Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, deans of various faculties, director of the institute, departmental chairman, proctor, directors of various departments, acting president of Jagannath University Teachers’ Association Professor Dr. Md.
