The Rover Scout Group of Jagannath University (JnU) has won Bangladesh National Scouts Award this year as usual in recognition of their work in natural disasters and humanitarian service.
Bangladesh Scouts announced the award on Monday.
JnU students Enamul Hasan Kawshar, Sadia Akhter, Mollah Mamun Hasan, Nawab Hossain, Sajeda Akhter Sathy have been given 'National Service Award'. Besides, the 'Number to the National Service Award' went to another JnU student Ahsan Habib.
In this regard, the former senior rover mate and former president of the Rover-in-Council of JnU Rover Scout Group, Ahsan Habib said the awards are given annually by the scout headquarters in recognition of their work in humanitarian service.
The next step is the Scouts' highest honour the President’s Award. So far, a total of 30 people have received the President's Award from JnU.
Today's two awards will inspire the group to achieve the President's Award in future.
