Jhenaidah Social welfare dept provides training on computer skill

Department of social welfare (DSW) in Jhenaidah have taken initiatives to train up the young community men and women to develop their skill in computer aiming at ensure make them entrepreneurs or involve them in their project for job opportunities. 

The six-month training in the training venue of the office have been accommodating over 200 young men and women trainees. 

A number of youths attending the training course titled Microsoft (MS) Office Application said the six-month long training course has been training up them to handle any computer well. After completion of the training course free of cost will help them run computer-based business independently. They will have the opportunities to develop them as entrepreneurs. Further, the department will include their information to the software of National Intelligence for Skill Education and Employment and Internship (NISE). 

The same will help them getting new job anywhere in the country at the priority basis, they said.

Bristi Rani Kundu, an SSC passed girl and her elder brother Hridoy Kundu, studying in the honours class in Banking and Finance, have been attending the training course since a few weeks said they have already acquired some knowledge and skill for the course and confident enough to employ them in any suitable job in home or abroad with the government facilities at ease. The unemployed youths or students like them should get involved in the training course for their betterment to remove the curse of “workless or worthless”, Bristi and Hridoy Kundu duo said.

Senior trainer of the course Mahfuzur Rahman when contacted said the trainees have been attending the course with eagerness and he was hopeful better for them when the world was moving forward with latest technology like computer. 

Afaz Uddin Khan, urban social welfare officer in the office of the deputy director of the DSW in Jhenaidah when contacted said they have been providing computer skill training to 210 men and women youths in the current batch, while preparing to conduct Digital Marketing course for another 10 persons so that they could manage their bread easily. The skill help getting job and remove the course of unemployment among the unemployed men and women. It will strengthen the socio-economic state of the trained youths, Afaz Uddin Khan said.
