Members of Jhenaidah Press Club have expressed their deep shock over the sad demise of Zainul Haque Sikder, a valiant freedom fighter, industrialist, Chairman of Sikder Group and one of the closest friend of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A condolence meeting was held in this regard in the VIP corner of the Press Club with the club President M Raihan in the chair on Sunday afternoon. Officer in Charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar police station Mijanur Rahman attended the meeting as chief guest.
General Secretary of the club Mahmud Hasan Tipu, ex President Bimal Saha, Vice President Foysal Ahmed, Joint Secretary KM Saleh, club members Aminur Rahman Tuku, Kazi Ali Ahmed Liku, Pintulal Dutta, Shahnoor Alam Maina Khatun and Bangladesh Post Correspondent Delwar Kabir among others were present at the time.
Speakers observed a minute of silence showing respect to the memory of ZH Sikder and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul.
