Jhenaidah municipal authorities in a dialogue with the leaders and activists of the committee of concern citizens (CCC) Jhenaidah unit had assured of hold citizen charters and other information and update info with district portal. The decision was taken in the meeting at the conference room of the municipality on Wednesday with local government deputy director (DDLG) in Jhenaidah and municipality administrator Yearul Islam.
Municipal authorities said there are limitations and lack of skill to deliver services among the town dwellers. But they are trying to overcome the limitations. Citizen charters and other information will come in public fully to make it transparent to everybody. The administrator had assured of update his web portal and link with the district web portal. Interest of the women and marginal people will be considered in the next separate budget for their upliftment.
CCC Jhenaidah unit president Sayedul Islam, panel mayor as well as women councilor Farhana Reza Anju, other ward councilors, municipality secretary Nur Mahmud, CCC vice presidents Nasrin Islam and Saiful Mabud, local government sub committee convener Suraiya Parvin Moli, YES team associate leader Jobaida Khatun, and transparency International (TI) Bangladesh area coordinator Bakhtiar Hossain among others participated.
