A high-flow nasal canola machine was handed over to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital on Wednesday. The machine was donated by Zahedi Foundation through a workshop organised by Jhenaidah district health department.
Presided over by divisional director of directorate general of health services (DGHS) in Khulna Rasheda Sultana, lawmaker of Jhenidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency, also president of Bangladesh Awami league Jhenidah district unit Abdul Hyee attended as chief guest in the daylong workshop.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jhenaidah Saroj Kumar Nath, superintendent of police (SP) Hasanuzzaman, Municipality mayor, also general secretary of ruling Awami League Jhenaidah district unit Saidul Karim Mintu, Jhenidah civil surgeon Dr. Salina Begum, Jhenaidah Sadar hospital superintendent Dr. Harunur Rashid, Awami League poura unit president Jiban Kumar Biswas, corona fighter Dr. Jakir Hossain and donour Zahedi Foundation coordinator Tabibur Rahman Labu among others attended as special guests.
Senior officials of the health department in Jhenaidah participated in the workshop. Resident medical officer (RMO) of Jhenidah Sadar hospital Dr. Apurba Kumar Saha facilitated the workshop.
The participants in the workshop expressed that the high-flow nasal canola will help a lot to save lives of the critical patients fighting against death being infected with the global; pandemic novel corona virus.
Civil surgeon office sources said the guests inaugurated the high-flow nasal canola machine at the hospital. The foundation authority had also donated protection materials for the health activists of the hospital.
