Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) in Jhenaidah organized a daylong training course for the drivers and conductors of buses, trucks and other vehicles at its training centre to raise skill and awareness on Saturday. The aim of the training was to reduce the risk of road mishaps. A total of 102 drivers and conductors participated in the training course.
Presided over by BRTA Jhenaidah circle inspector SM Sabuj, assistant director (AD) of BRTA Jhenaidah circle Atiar Rahman was present as chief guest. Inspector of Jhenaidah district traffic Mashiur Rahman, Bangladesh Post Roving Correspondent Delwar Kabir and SA TV correspondent Foysal Ahmed attended as special guests.
The speakers said the drivers and conductors should play role to reduce the road accidents with their skill and save lives of the common people. They were advised not to overtake any vehicles in heavy speed, drive cautiously during turning and speed breakers and avoid parking here and there.
