To build the Smart Bangladesh providing better and timely services to the people, the service providers of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) in Jhenaidah have been working uninterrupted. It will help ensure perfect services to motor vehicles drivers, owners and concern to get the service staying at home for hassle-free services, said the BRTA officials in Jhenaidah.
Prohlad Sarker, an executive officer of Nitol Motors in Jhenaidah-Jashore-Magura area when contacted at the office of the assistant director (AD) of Jhenaidah BRTA Atiar Rahman, said he had submitted the documents at the office a few minutes ago and waiting to give the fingerprint for the same. It might be furnished within 20 to 25 minutes.
Some Rabuil Islam appeared the office to give his fingerprint for a driving license for this motorbike. He said he had given the fingerprint and expecting the license by postal mail within a few days.
Assistant director of BRTA in Jhenaidah circle Atiar Rahman said they had settled at least 700 license renewal, issuance of new license and biometric activities in last three months which were stockpiled in the office for a long. Between March 28 and may 31 this year they had issued license to over 1,200 applicants which were stockpiled over years.
He said the service receivers will not have to move to BRTA office anyway. Rather, the furnished documents will be sent to their postal address so that they might receive it staying at home with the postal charge only. They will not have to [ay any money in cash to the BRTA men or so-called brokers staying outside the office.
As the country is marching towards the developed one within next few years, the BRTA will not sitting idle. Rather, they have been rendering services applying modern machineries and equipment for provide best services to the people so that achieving in Smart Bangladesh as committed by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina might be success.
