Bangladesh National Awami Party has expressed deep shock at the death of country’s veteran politician and president of Nationalist Awami party (NAP) Professor Muzaffar Ahmed.
In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the party chairman Jebel Rahman Ghaani and secretary general M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan said that that Professor Muzaffar Ahmed was the political companion of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani. The country losses a political guardian at death of the politician, they said.
The also said that the nation will remember contribution of Professor Muzaffar Ahmed to the politics, the liberation war, and 1952 Language Movement, and other movements in the country. He also played a vital role in organising historic Kagmari Conference the NAP.
The two leaders of Bangladesh NAP prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
