Dhallywood four times National Film Award winner actress Jaya Ahsan starts shooting for her upcoming Indian Bengali films titled ‘Putul Nacher Itikotha’ director by Suman Mukhopadhyay.
On Sunday February 13 director Suman Mukhopadhyay posed on social media stating that he has started shooting for his 8th movie titled ‘Putul Nacher Itikatha’, based on popular novelist Manik Bandyopadhyay’s novel titled ‘Putul Nacher Itikatha’ (The Puppets’ Tale). On the first day, Abir Chatterjee, plays the role of ‘Shashi’ in the novel, stood in front of the camera with a stethoscope around his neck Abir.
Jaya Ahsan will start the shooting on Valentine's Day which is today. She is playing the role of Kusum in the film titled ‘Putul Nacher Itikatha’. Apart from actress Jaya Ahsan, Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee will be seen in the lead roles. He is playing the e character of ‘Kumud’ and Dhritiman Chatterjee and Ananya Chatterjee will feature in the other two important characters of the film. Jaya arrived in Kolkata on Thursday for the shooting of the film ‘Putul Nacher Itikotha’.
Regarding the context Suman Mukhopadhyay told the media that two things were very important for this film — “skilled actors” and “big-budget”. Besides selecting good actors, the marketing aspect of the film has to be kept in mind now. “Abir, Jaya, Param will be able to do that balance. Producer Sameeran Das (Kaleidoscope) relied on me for a budget. The shooting schedule of this film will be 25 days which is not seen in Bengali film now,” he said.
Director Suman Mukhopadhyay further said the time in the original novel was “more backward”, but we brought it a little further. Moreover, it is not possible to capture everything from the novel in the film. The movement of the two mediums is different. “I put more emphasis on characters chemistry,” he added. Prabuddha Banerjee is in charge of the playback music of the film. The film will be framed from the late 30s to the early 40s.
According to Jaya, the shooting of Saukarya Ghoshal's movie 'Kalantar' will start in Kolkata soon after 'Puppet Dance Itikatha'. Bangladesh is also preparing to shoot a new movie. A lot of busyness, a little leisure — all in all, Jaya Ahsan is having a great time.
