Jaya Ahsan's starrer "Ardhangini" earned BDT 2 crores in 10 days of release, being named a "superhit" by the TollyBangla Box Office.
The movie has gained full theatres and audience acclaim since its release in different Indian states on June 2. On the 10th day of the film's release, 57 shows across Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune were reported to have almost sold out.
The film's producer Kaushik Ganguly and Jaya Ahsan have expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming positive response. The Bangladeshi actress stated: “This is a different level of satisfaction. Thank you to the audience for showing so much love.”
Jaya has won filmfare awards for films “Bishorjan" and "Vijaya”, also directed by Kaushik Ganguly.
The plot of “Ardhangini” follows a man, his wife and his ex-wife after circumstances compel them together after an accident. Apart from Jaya Ahsan, Churni Ganguly, Kaushik Sen, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Lily Chakravorty and others acted in the film.
