Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh and Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir opened their office after 12 years at Rangpur city on Tuesday.
When this correspondent visited the Shapla Chattar area of the city, he saw that leaders and activists of Jamat and Islami Chhatrashibir installed signboard at their Rangpur metropolitan office which was closed for a long time. They were doing the renovation work of their office at that time.
A lot of enthusiasm was observed among the leaders and activists who are in charge of the renovation work of the office. The leaders and activists who were present there said Awami League leaders and activists torched their Jamaat and Shibir metropolitan office in 2012. The people of the country were freed from the fascist government after 12 long years. They were very happy about it. They said that they will regain their democratic rights if the false cases filed against them are withdrawn and the illegal ban against Jamat and Shibir by executive order is lifted.
Meanwhile, leaders and activists of Jamat-Shibir held joyous procession, opened their closed offices and started the renovation work of the offices at Prigaha, Mithapukur, Badarganj, Tarahanj, Gongachar and Pirganj hearing the news of resignation of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister.
