Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Satkhira district unit held Rukon conference and education meeting in public after 16 years to make the victory achieved by the movement of students and people sustainable and meaningful.
The meeting was held at former MP Kazi Shamsur Rahman Auditorium in Munshipara Alamin Trust in the town on Friday. Jamaat-e-Islami Central Organizing Secretary and Director of Khulna region Muhaddis Abdul Khalek spoke as the chief guest at the conference.
Jamaat Satkhira district Ameer Muhaddis Rabiul Bashar presided over the conference. Satkhira district Secretary Maulana Azizur Rahman moderated the programme. Jamaat Central Working Committee Member and Assistant Director of Khulna region Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Satkhira district Jamaat Nayeeb-e-Ameer Vice-Principal Shahidul Islam Mukul and others spoke at the conference.
The chief guest said the Rukons have to play an active role in establishing national unity, irrespective of party or ideology, to make the victory of the movement of students and people sustainable and meaningful. Responsible individuals must be developed at all levels. The autocrat government fled the country due to the mass uprising of the student and people. Now, the country must be developed in a new way. Everyone must remain aware to ensure that the conspirators cannot destroy communal harmony. We have to engage ourselves in the work of developing the country by maintaining brotherhood, he said.
The chief guest also said that the Awami-Bakshalis did not show us the respect of a human being. Instead, they always showed zero tolerance towards us. There was an undeclared shoot-on-sight order for us. There was no form of oppression or torture that was not imposed upon us. All the top leaders were hanged in false and fabricated cases. Many leaders and activists were abducted and killed. However, they were unable to stop the progress of Jamaat in any way. Jamaat is advancing towards its desired destination. Our victory for the liberation of humanity in the coming days will be ensured Insha Allah, he said.
