Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka City North unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin said, we want to build such a Bangladesh as the youth will not sacrifice their lives for jobs. We will make a just, humane, and business oriented country where everybody will be able to conduct trade and commerce beautifully.
He yesterday said these while exchanging views with prominent citizens at a restaurant in capital Tejgaon.
Central Mojlish-e-shura member Hemayet Hossain was the chair. Jamaat Dhaka City North unit’s media and publicity secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker conducted it. Central working committee member and Dhaka City North unit’s nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa was the special guest. Aminul Islam, Zillur Rahman, Noman Ahamadi, Ahasan Ullah, Yousuf Ali Mollah spoke in the meeting.
‘Students called for a rational movement. We all responded to the movement but Awami League government ordered the law enforcers to use excessive force as a result hundreds of students were martyred and injured,’ Selim Uddin added.
‘We gained this independence through huge sacrifice. The spirit of this independence was equality, human dignity, social justice and democracy,’ city Ameer added.
He called upon all to stand by Shaheed and injured families.
