Jamaat holds meeting in Ranisankail

A views-exchange meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh was held after 18 years in Ranisankail upazila of Thakurgaon on Saturday.

The meeting, arranged by Ranisankail upazila unit Jamaat-e-Islami, was held at the party office in Dakkhin Para of the municipal town on Saturday noon.

Upazila unit Jamaat Ameer Vice-Principal Maolana Rafiqul Islam presided over the meeting. Thakurgaon district unit Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Assistant Professor Belal Udin Prodhan, Upazila unit Jamaat Joint Secretary Minatullah Pathan, district unit Sramik Kalyan Federation president Principal Matiur Rahman, Financial Affairs Secretary Ramiz Uddin Master, municipality unit Jamaat Ameer Abdul Matin Bishwas, municipal unit Secretary Mokarram Hossain, Sramik Kalyan Federation president Rafiqul Islam and others spoke at the meeting.

Upazila unit Jamaat Secretary Maolana Rajab Ali moderated the meeting. Among the journalists, Press Club president Mobarrak Ali, former president Professor Anwarul Islam, former president Faruk Hossain, Humayun Kabir and others spoke at the meeting. Besides, around 30 journalists of print and electronic media were present at that time.

During the meeting, leaders of Jamaat spoke about the oppression and torture on them in the past. Along with that, they urged the journalists to publish objective reports of various events held under the activities of their organization.
