In Tala upazila of Satkhira, food assistance has been provided to flood-affected and vulnerable families. Organized by the Jagoron Barta Foundation, this distribution took place on Tuesday, in the Dewanipara village of the Tetulia union.
It is noteworthy that the Jagoron Barta Foundation, formerly known as Alo Foundation, has been actively working since 2018 to support various social, cultural, and vulnerable groups. Their initiatives include health services during the COVID-19 pandemic, education, skill development for unemployed youth, and responses to natural disasters.
The founder of the Jagoron Barta Foundation, M.M. Maruf-ul-Islam, a former student of Dhaka University, stated that their primary goal is to enhance the skills of marginalized communities while supporting individuals in need during crises. He emphasized the importance of wealthy individuals stepping up during natural disasters, encouraging humanitarian work, and playing a direct role in addressing social and national challenges.
Present at the event were notable social worker Md. Mobarak Biswas, prominent businessman Md. Yasin Biswas, Md. Haidar Fakir, social worker Md. Shahidul Biswas, youth development trainer Md.
