The election to the executive committee of Islamic University Journalists' Association will be held on the campus in Kushtia on Saturday.
Voting will start at 10:30am at the Press Corner of the university and continue till 11:30am with maintaining social distancing.
IU student advisor Prof Dr M Saidur Rahman will be the chief election commissioner while M Ataul Haque, in charge director of IU Public Relations office, and M Suja Uddin, former IUJA president, will be the assistant election commissioners. IU vice chancellor Prof Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam will announce the result while IU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and acting registrar SM Abdul Latif will also present.
All necessary have already been completed to hold the election peacefully, IUJA President Emran Shuvro said.
