Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Hossain, a professor of Dawah and Islamic Studies department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, is going to join at an international seminar in Bangkok of Thailand.
The seminar titled ‘Regional Interfaith Conference: Towards Strengthening Interfaith Action Network for Combating HIV and AIDS in Asia’ will be held on January 23 to 25.
Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Hossain was invited at the seminar as an Islamic and interfaith scholar. He left the country on January 22 at the invitation of CCA and ATCHAA.
He will present a paper on AIDS control strategies and policies in Islam. He will return to the country on January 27.
Dr. Iqbal Hossain is a well-educated and accomplished individual focusing on comparative religion, theological journalism, and interfaith relations.
He has also completed postgraduate studies in Human Rights at East London University and higher study in theology at the University of London in the United Kingdom and completed a project called the world from the USA titled Interfaith in the United States of America. Additionally, he actively advocates for interfaith understanding and builds bridges between different religions, cultures, civilizations, and casts around the globe.
