Various departments of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia accorded a reception to fresher students of 2021-22 academic sessions amid festive mood and enthusiasm. IU Accounting and Information Systems, Law, Arabic Language and Literature and other departments organized the reception in their department in much pathos on Wednesday on campus. The Accounting and Information Systems department arranged the reception at BBA academic building around 12:00 pm. Professor Saiful Islam, dean of the BBA faculty addressed the receptions as chief discussant while Professor Dr Zakir Hossain, chairman of the department presided over the program. Jubayer Islam and Jannat-E-Nur conducted the program in both.
Besides, the Law department of the university also arranged the reception in Mir Mosharraf Hossain Academic building around 1:00 pm. Professor Dr Sayeda Siddika, dean of the Law faculty addressed the program as chief discussant. Dr Reba Mondol, chairman of the department presided over the program and Associate Professor Dr Armin Khatun conducted the program.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam addressed the Arabic Language and Literature department fresher’s reception program as chief guest while Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Mahbubar Rahman and treasurer Professor Dr Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya were present as special guests. Professor Dr AKM Shamsul Haque Siddiqi conducted the program while Professor Dr Abdul Mottalib, chairman of the department was in the chair.
Law and Land Management and Al-Quran and Islamic Studies departments also organized the fresher’s reception program in their department with festivity.
Sobuj, a fresher student of the Accounting and Information Systems department expressed his feeling and said the university and its first class overwhelmed me. I want to be better for myself and my country.
