The Bangabandhu Parishad teachers’ unit of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia got a new committee for the next two years.
This information was confirmed by a press release signed by former and present president-secretary on Wednesday. The newly formed committee includes twenty-five members.
According to the release, Professor Dr Mahbubar Rahman of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department and Professor Dr Shelina Nasrin of Accounting and Information Systems department are respectively made president and secretary of the body.
Professor Md Ibrahim Abdullah of Computer Science and Engineering department, Professor Dr Md Rabiul Hossain of Bangla Department, Professor Dr Md Anisur Rahman of Mathematics department are made as Vice-President, Professor Dr Md Abdullah Al Mashud of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department as treasurer, Md Shahidul Islam of Human Resource Management as joint secretary, M M Nasimuzzaman of Management Department as Organizing Secretary and Md Hafijul Islam of Development Studies department as office secretary of the newly made committee.
The other members are, Professor Dr Kazi Akhtar Hossian of Accounting and Information Systems, Professor Dr Paresh Chandra Barman and Professor Dr Tapan Kumer Jodder of Information and Communication Technology, Professor Dr Ahsan-Ul-Ambia and Joyassree Sen of Computer Science and Engineering, Professor Dr Ruhul Amin of Finance and Banking, Professor Dr Rokibul Islam of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, K M Sharf Uddin of Management, Firoz Al Mamun of Political Science, Rabiul Islam and Ariful Islam of Biomedical Engineering, Sadikul Azad of Marketing, Inzamul Haque of Geography and Environment, Shahida Akhtar of Law and Land Management, A H M Nahid of Development Studies and Shyam Sundar Sarkar of Social Welfare department.
Earlier, Dr Mahbubar and Dr Shelina were elected president and secretary with no opposition.
Later, the newly made president and secretary formed the full body discussing with the running one.
