The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Wednesday distributed relief materials among poor and destitute families living in the vicinity of the locality during ongoing coronavirus crisis. IU vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the distribution of food in front of the administrative building on the campus.
Pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha, registrar in charge SM Abdul Latif, convener of IU corona prevention cell also the proctor Prof Dr Paresh Chandra Barman among others attended the distribution programme.
Earlier, Officers Association of the university handed Tk 2 lakh 18 thousand as financial help to tackle the coronavirus situation. Meanwhile, IU Assistant Employee Association and Techniqual Employee Association also handed their one day salary to the vice chancellor Dr Askari at its office separately with the same issue while pro-VC and treasurer of the university were present here.
