The Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, observed the ‘International Accounting Day’ titled ‘Accounting for Good Governance’ at the campus on Sunday amid festive mood and fanfare. The department observed the day in collaboration with ‘Bangladesh Accounting Association’ (an associate of American Accounting Association).
Marking the day, a colorful rally was brought out around 11:00 am led by University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah, starting from the entrance of the BBA faculty building. After parading the main thoroughfares of the campus, the rally ended at the same place.
BBA faculty dean Professor Dr Shelina Nasrin, chairman of the department Professor Dr Jakir Hossain, Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman, Professor Dr Abu Sina, Professor Dr Kazi Akhtar Hossain, Professor Dr Abdus Sabur, Professor Dr Ruhul Amin, and students of the department were present the rally.
Dr Shelina Nasrin said, ‘We are working towards maintaining transparency in the global economy. We are commemorating all those who are part of this rapid transformation.’
