Advancements in the use of information technology (IT) are required for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires and to create employment for all, and move Bangladesh forward in the path of becoming a developed economy.
M Mainuddin Moinul, Country Director of Good Neighbors Bangladesh, made the comment while speaking at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
M Mainuddin Moinul, Country Director for ‘Good Neighbors Bangladesh’ and Shariful Haque, Partner Relations Director for ‘Kajh Software’ signed the MoU at the National Press Club on Sunday.
He said that ‘Good Neighbors Bangladesh’ also plans to create an online-based NGO management information system to ensure its transparency.
Speaking on the occasion, M Mainuddin Moinul said, “Good Neighbors Bangladesh, is an international voluntary organisation. The government is determined to establish Bangladesh as ‘Digital Bangladesh’. Prosperity in the use of information technology is needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
“At present, the government of Bangladesh is emphasizing on information technology and conducting online activities in various fields. In the year of the 25th founding anniversary of ‘Good Neighbors Bangladesh’, we have tried to take our accountability to another level,” he added.
“In order to implement this initia
tive at all levels along with the government, ‘Good Neighbors Bangladesh’ plans to create an online based NGO management information system for monitoring, reporting and evaluation to ensure transparency with its beneficiaries, donor agencies and the government of Bangladesh,” said the country director.
Shariful Haque, Partner Relations Director of ‘Kajh Software Ltd’, said that through the online system, ‘Good Neighbors Bangladesh’ will facilitate its activities to make it easier for any people to get benefit from the services. Everyone will try to do their best to get the job done well.
Bartin Gomez, Director, ‘Good Neighbors Bangladesh’, Anand Kumar Das and Mushfiqur Rahman, Directors of ‘Kajh Software’, Hasan Masud, Controller of Finance of ‘Kajh Software’ were present at the event among others.
