Md Habibullah, father of Architect Iqbal Habib, died on Sunday for old-age complications. He was 86. He berthed his last at about 3:00 pm at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in Dhaka. He left behind four sons and a daughter, including Architect Iqbal Habib, member of Board of Trustees of Bangladesh University and Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Paribesh Andolan (BAPA).
He was buried at Azimpur graveyard in the capital after Namaz-e-Janaza at Taqwa Mosque of Dhanmondi after Magrib prayers. Kazi Jamil Azhar, chairman of Board of Trustees of Bangladesh University, expressed deep shock at the death of Md Habibullah.
