Though sixteen days have elapsed since the larger-scale theft was perpetrated in the expat’s house yet the case investigator of Fatulla model police station could not recover any stolen valuables and even could not find out any clue to the theft incident.
Just after a day of the incident, the house owner’s wife Nasrin Nahar on July 4 filed a case with Fatulla model police station in this regard. According to her prosecution story the unknown thieves had stolen wealth worth of 18 lakh and 11 thousand taka including gold ornaments, cash and cell phones.
Inspector Ali Asgor is investigating the case and he immediately after the incident apprehended a notorious drug dealer named Raju Prodhan who also committed various crimes in the society was held on police remand for a day but police yet could not elicit any confidential clue.
Nasrin Nahar on July 3, just on the day of incident told this correspondent that at least 30 lakhs taka worth of wealth had been stolen by unknown thieves from her house at Banglabazar under Fatulla police station.
Incidentally on July 3 at around 2 PM Nasrin’s whole family went to attend a marriage ceremony and return to her resident at around 4:30 PM and then she found her flat’s door was broken and all Almeria, lockers, wardrobes were broken and no cash, gold ornaments, cell phones were inside.
On information, a sub-inspector Shariful Islam of Fatulla police station rushed to the spot and conducted initial investigation and made a list of stolen goods.
Officer-in-charge of Fatulla model police station, Md. Aslam Hossain told that the investigation was going on and search operations were being carried out in suspected areas.
