International right to information (RTI) day was observed in Jhenaidah.
Jhenaidah district administration and transparency international (TI) Bangladeshi jointly organised different programme to mark the day on Wednesday.
A colourful rally was brought in the town from Old DC Court premises and ended at district shilkpakala academy parading the main roads in the town.
Later a discussion was held at the academy auditorium where deputy commissioner (DC) SM Rafiqul Islam, additional superintendent of police Imran Zakaria, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Rathindra Nath Roy, ADC ICT and education Khalid Hasan, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) in Jhenaidah Sadar Sadiya Jarin and TI president Saiful Mabud among others spoke. The speakers urged upon the government and non-government office heads students and young generation to practice on internet and other most modern technology to enrich Bangladesh a technology based country to compete globally.
