Seven day inter upazila swimming training and competition was started in Jhenaidah at Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila Parishad premises. Jhenaidah district sports office organized the training and competition event.
District sports office sources said they organized the event under their countrywide sports competition. Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) SM Shahin inaugurated the weeklong event as chief guest at upazila parishad pond. Over a hundred of intending young men and women form Jhenaidah Sadar, Kaliganj, Kotchandpur, Moheshpur, Shailkupa and Harinakundu participated in the training while the authorities had selected 30 of them.
Purbanchal swimming club president Tipu Sultan attended the programme as special guest. Lateer the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners participated in the sports competition events.
