The Inter-University handball tournament begins at Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday. DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (VC) (administration) and DU Sports Board President Professor Muhammad Samad inaugurated the competition as the chief guest.
Among others, Professor Dr Gobinda Chakraborty, president of DU Handball Committee; Shahjahan Ali, acting director of the Center for Physical Education, teachers of different universities and officials of physical education centers were present at the ceremony.
It is to be noted that Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, Chattogram University, Rajshahi University, National University, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Islami University and Bangladesh University of Professionals has participated in this five days tournament.
