The intensity of cold is continually increasing at the northernmost district Panchgarh and other districts of the part, including Thakurgaon. The day temperature in the district has dropped
further with the northern cool-air and the dense fog. Though the temperature increases slightly at day time, the intensity of cold increases with the onset of the evening till the morning.
The lowest day temperature recorded in Tentulia at 9-00 AM on Monday is 7.5 degree Celsius.
Russel Shah, Officer-in-charge of Tentulia Meteorological Office of Panchgarch informed, a moderated cold wave is sweeping through the district as the temperature is fluctuating for last several days. He further informed, due to dense fog, the motor-vehicles are seen to move by switching on the headlights in the morning. The intensity of cold has been increased despite the sunshine.
Jahangir Alam, Officer-in-charge of Tentulia Weather Observation Centre informed, the temperature of Panchgarch has started to fall sharply during winter since the region is situated near the Himalayan Mountain. As a result, the entire district shrouded in fog from the onset of the evening. At the same time, cool air from the Himalayan range is also being felt bitterly.
