The Vice Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said the main aim of all the activities of the university is to achieve the welfare of the students. Therefore, efforts should be made to ensure that the students do not suffer for publishing the exam results.
The Vice Chancellor made the observation while addressing a seminar titled 'Monte Carlo Simulation of Carbon Dioxide Water Molecular Management' as the chief guest at the opening ceremony held at the Academic Building-C of the University on Monday.
The event was organized by the Mathematics Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
In a short speech, the vice chancellor said that scientific research is not possible without mathematics. So students must have a strong foundation in mathematics.
Regarding research, he also said that a lot of research is being done in this university. However, the number and quality of research should be increased. We are trying to raise research funds. However, efforts should be made to get more national and international funds in addition to government funds.
