Int’l sustainable dev confce kicks off today

The 8th International Sustainable Development Conference-2021 (SDC-2021) kicks-off today (Friday) on virtual platform. 

Beginning today, the conference will run till 14th November. A Serbian based institution “Tomorrow People Organiza­tion” is going to arrange this conference.

This SDC2021 brings together scholars, graduate students and professionals as well as NGO representatives and policymakers from across the world.  SDC provides a comprehensive platform for learning and networking with global stakeholders and offers exposure to different perspectives on this very important aspect of our lives and, as such, important for the society as a whole. 

Every year Sustainable Develop­ment Conference [SDC] gathers global stakeholders from academic, professional and governmental realms to gather, network and discuss themes and current issues related to sustainable economic development, environment, climate change and renewable energy.

Experts from Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Spain, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Iran, Tunisia, Serbia, Malaysia, Ethiopia, and Turkey will present their papers as speakers in this conference.

On first day of the conference, Touhidul Alam Khan, additional managing director of Standard Bank Limited from Bangladesh will present a paper in the conference titled on “Journey towards sustainable banking and financial inclusion in Bangladesh through innovation”. With a developing economy, Bangladesh is experiencing ongoing changes and emergence of businesses and jobs due to technological evolution, challenging aftermaths of natural disasters, and an unprecedented epidemic like COVID-19, all of which foster the demand for innovative, goal-driven, and new financial products, Khan will address thiese issues in this paper.

Besides, Shiela Sharif, University of Malaya, will present a paper on “Implementation of Water Efficiency System in Green Building Projects in Malaysia. Anne Aune, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from London will speak on “New Economies - A Study of Possible Alternatives to a Collapsed System’.” 

Elena Bulmer, EAE Business School from  Spain will present a paper on “Problems in establishing alliances to comply with SDG 17 in the successful execution of environmental conservation projects.”  

In the Panel discussion on “Urban Development & Sustainable Architec­ture”, Satprem Maïni, Architect Auroville Earth Insitute, India, Ana Cristina García-Luna Romero, Univer­sity of Monterrey, Mexico, Erum Afsar, P.Eng., APEGA/­Kananaskis Improve­ment District, Canada and Monno Valeria, Politecnico di Bari, Italy will discuss as panelists.

“This remarkable international event aims to bring together prospective young educators and future leaders as well as experienced professionals and social workers from different parts of the world who will have the unique opportunity to learn, interact and share ideas with the most innovative educational and entrepreneurial ethos”, Touhidul Alam Khan opined.
