On the occasion of the celebration of the International River Craft Day in Pekua, Cox's Bazar, a human chain, fisher festival and clean-up programme were held.

Speakers also said that many communities around the river have lost their livelihood, including boatmen, fishermen, fishermen.
The speakers demanded that everyone, including the government, should come forward to protect the river.
