International Literacy Day-2024 was celebrated in Gurudaspur Upazila of Natore district on Sunday.
The programme was held at the Upazila auditorium at 11:00am on Sunday. Gurudaspur Assistant Commissioner (Land) Asadul Islam presided over the programme organized by the Upazila Administration.
Gurudaspur Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Selim Akter, Upazila Agricultural Officer Md Harunor Rashid, Upazila Social Service Officer Md Shafiqul Islam and others were present at the programme as special guests.
The speakers at the programme shed light on the importance of education and the expansion of literacy.
They said education is one of the major tools for the development of the country. The nation can move forward by ensuring the expansion of literacy.
