The International Day of Disabled Persons was observed in Jhenaidah on Thursday. On the occasion, Jhenaiah district administration and district social welfare department jointly arranged a discussion at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jhenaidah Saroj Kumar Nath, deputy director of the department of social welfare (DSW) Abdul Latif Sheikh, deputy director of the department of family planning Dr. Jahid Ahmed, deputy director of the department of youth development (DYD) in Jhenidah Reazul Alam Khan, district i0nformation officer Abu Bakar Siddique and district disability affairs officer Bablur Rahman among others spoke.
The speakers said each and every people should stand by the people with disability (PWD) to build a peaceful and sustainable country when the global pandemic corona virus was grabbing the world.
They said Disability service and assistance centres in the district have been rendering services among the people with disability (PWD) as well as some other people. The organization had distributed health materials and mask among the PWDs.
