A discussion meeting on the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity was held in Mymensingh on Sunday.
The discussion took place at Muminunnisa Govt Mohila College in Mymensingh at 11am on the day.
ANM Abdul Wadud, District Forrest Officer (DFO) of Mymensingh, presided over the meeting while Principle of Muminunnisa Govt Mohila College Professor Md Khairul Islam delivered spoke as the chief guest at the discussion.
Head of Zoology Department of Govt Anandamohon College Professor Fahmida Yasmin, Secretary of Teachers’ Council of Muminunnisa College Dr Shibbir Ahmed, Head of Botany Department Professor Bikash Kumar Bhadra, Assistant Professor of Zoology Department Sujit Kumar Debnath and General Secretary of Mymensingh Divisional Press Club Nazrul Islam spoke as special guests at the programme.
DFO ANM Abdul Wadud asked the students to browse YouTube every day for at least 15 minutes to do something to protect biological diversity and develop the environment.
The speakers in the meeting requested everyone to become aware in order to preserve the biological diversity.
