Inspector of Baraigram police station died of coronavirus

Officer-in-charge (OC, investigation) of Natore’s Baraigram Police Station Sumon Ali, 40, died of coronavirus infection.

He died at Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital in Dhaka on Thursday (August 13th).

Natore Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Saha confirmed the death of Sumon Ali.

He said he contracted the coronavirus while trying to ensure public law enforcing services during the coronavirus period. His health deteriorated while he was undergoing treatment in Natore after being infected with corona. Later, he was admitted to Rajarbagh Police Line Hospital. When his condition deteriorated further, he was being treated in the ICU of the hospital. He died Thursday night while undergoing treatment there.
