In Chapainawabganj, 130 homeless families were given land and semi-permanent houses on the occasion of Training Mujib Year to make the residents of Asrayan Project self-reliant.
AKM Galib Khan, Administrator, Chapainawabganj, has taken an exceptional initiative to rehabilitate these families and bring them back to skilled and professional life through special training.
Rajshahi Additional Divisional Commissioner Abu Taher Md Masud Rana inaugurated the training workshop on Sunday morning. Md Mizanur Rahman, Joint Secretary, Department of Public Security, Ministry of Home Affairs attended the workshop.
Beneficiaries under Asrayan Project 2 are poultry, cattle rearing, family planning method, hygienic toilet, safe drinking water, sewerage, adolescent health awareness, child marriage prevention, sewing training, making paper bags, textbooks The main goal is to improve the quality of life.
Besides, a database is being created to bring all the facilities of the government, said Deputy Commissioner AKM Galib Khan. Happiness is prevailing among the common people after receiving the gift of the Prime Minister.
On the other hand, through the special initiative of the Deputy Commissioner, trained women will be developed as entrepreneurs. People of various walks of life, including citizens of civil society, have applauded the exceptional initiative in this first shelter project of the country.
The training was imparted by Civil Surgeon, Deputy Director, Department of Agricultural Extension, Deputy Director, Family Planning, Executive Engineer, Public Health, Deputy Director, Department of Women's Affairs, District Livestock Officer, Chapainawabganj.
