Indian businessmen have shown interest to invest in energy, healthcare, consumer goods, IT and agriculture sectors in Bangladesh, said Salman F Rahman, Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser.
Salman said that the relations between Bangladesh and India are very close and friendly and it is expected to be strengthened after the meeting between the heads of the two countries.
Salman F Rahman made the remarks emerging from a meeting with Indian businessmen in Delhi on Saturday
" The economic cooperation between the two countries will further increase. Many of the businessmen have invested in Bangladesh and want to increase their involvement. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also has sincere support for this", Salman added.
Regarding Bangladesh's relationship with India, Salman said, 'Our relationship with India is very close. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also always said neighbour first'.
In addition to increasing economic cooperation between the two countries, various issues were discussed during this visit.’
