Indian Army gifts trained dogs to Bangladesh Army

Indian Army gifted 10 trained dogs to the Bangladesh Army through Benapole checkpost on Saturday noon. 

Col Keshav Yadav of the Chasara Cantonment at Kolkata on Saturday afternoon formally handed over the dogs to Col Anwar Hossain on behalf of Bangladesh Army. Benapole checkpost 49 BGB camp commander Subedar Mizanur Rahman said that the dogs were first brought to Chasara Cantonment in Kolkata from the Mirat Cantonment of India. 

Later, the dogs were handed over to the Bangladesh Army from the Petrapole BSF camp. He also said that the trained Indian dogs were given to Bangladesh Army as a gift. 

The first shipment of ten dogs was transferred to Bangladesh Army. Total 30 trained dogs will be given to Bangladesh Army. Trained dogs from the Indian Army are capable of detecting drugs and miscreants.
